Just a note ...
Superstition has no place in true Christianity. One such superstition is the concern for Friday the thirteenth. First of all, it can be shown that the crucifiction was not on Friday, but on Wednesday. Furthermore, the number thirteen has positive significance. Firstly, when Israel sinned with the golden calf at Sinia, God decided to use the tribe of Levi as the priestly tribe to lead and judge the other tribes. Since Joseph received the double portion and had his two sons become part of the 12 tribes, Levi therefor became the thirteenth tribe, the priests.
A similar situation happened in the New Testament. When Judas Escariot, one of the 12 apostels, betrayed Christ, another was selected to replace him. The apostel Paul can be seen as the thirteenth apostel, and it was he who was a chosen vessel to spread Christianity to the gentile world.
